Little Tables

I have  added a few little tables to the kaimade design repertoire.  They nesting tables above were made for my dear friend and collaborator Aaron Kllc, interior designer and artist.  The material is sourced from Arborica, Evan Shively's astonishing mill in Marshall, Ca.  I highly recommend going on a filed trip to Arborica in the breathtaking environs of Tomales Bay. 

This single side table is also Claro, gently formed to almost hide its intentional shape.  I am slowly working my way to a form that combines a raw, pure organic material with a clear modern form.  I suppose it is a version of Wabi-Sabi--raw/formed, organic/intentional.  The legs are hand-turned Claro, an iconic tapered leg from mid-century modernism.
